The Pennsylvania Music Education Association conference gives us an opportunity to connect with all of you and to remind you that Yamaha is your partner in music education, not just through our great instruments and professional audio products but also with resources, support and professional development. We know how difficult this past year has been as all of us have navigated through these uncertain times, and we want to express our appreciation and gratitude for everyone involved in making this virtual conference possible. We want to continue to hear about your programs and learn about you and your specific needs to see how Yamaha can partner with you to help.
We are so happy to join you — albeit virtually. Have a wonderful conference!
— Dave Clark and Ian Wudyka, District Managers, School Services Division, Yamaha Corporation of America
In April 2020, the Pennsylvania music education community lost a member and friend with the passing of Ed Boyer. A lifelong Pennsylvanian and alum of West Chester University, Ed served as a music education supporter, advocate and supplier not only in Pennsylvania, but across the entire country. As a regional sales manager for Yamaha, Ed helped lead a team focused on supporting music education, music educators and music retailers throughout the United States. Music engrossed Ed’s entire life from his early years performing in bands, to his long career in the music industry, and even in his marriage to his wife Kathleen, a lifelong Pennsylvania music educator. Yamaha is proud to honor Ed Boyer, who dedicated his life to the support of music educators and musicians in Pennsylvania and beyond. To further honor Ed’s memory, The West Chester University Wells School of Music has announced the Ed Boyer ’78 Yamaha Instrument Award, providing a high-quality Yamaha instrument to a deserving WCU music student. To make a donation toward the award fund please visit and mark your donation “Wells School of Music in Memory of Ed Boyer.”
